Ocean Diver Course

  • dulwich college sports ground (map)

This first session will be made up of  a 1 hour theory session, and 1 hour pool session

The Ocean Diver course will teach you the basics skills you need to explore Scuba Diving safely, including how to use dive gear, control your buoyancy, and move about underwater. You’ll start in the pool then, when you feel more confident, move into open water. On completing the course you’ll have a qualification that is recognised worldwide that allows you to dive to 20m, and unlike other beginner dive courses you will have also learnt about Nitrox diving and important rescue skills. This course will set you up to start exploring the underwater world.

The course is split into 6 theory sessions, and 6 pool sessions. Then in order to complete the qualification you will complete at least 4 open water dives and a short theory test.

We aim to run these session consecutively each Wednesday from the 7th February, however we know real life often doesn’t work like that, so our instructors can build some flexibility into the course with enough notice.

To take part in the course need to be aged 12 or over, and able to swim 200m in a pool. You are not required to own any Scuba kit, but will require a swimsuit and towel for each pool session.
